“I’ve been the needle and the thread, weaving figure eights and circles round your head.” This is the beginning of Maroon 5’s ‘Must Get Out.’ This song symbolizes, for the most part, how my adolescent life is. Even the title itself relates to my adolescence, because many times in difficult situations I think I just “Must Get Out.’ The first line is about my troubles, worries and doubts; which are symbolized as a needle and thread weaving figure eights and circles around my head. “I try to laugh but cry instead” means that sometimes I want to be happy, but trying ends up making me sad. “Patiently wait to hear the words you’ve said” is the advice that my parents give me. “Fumbling through your dresser drawer, forgot what I was looking for” is when I do something in revenge or try to find secrets that want to be kept and I end up forgetting why I did them. “Try to guide me in the right direction.” I need someone to help me on what to do in my situation. “Making use of all this time, Keeping everything inside, Close my eyes and listen to you cry” is a line that shows how I usually keep my feelings inside, and just close my eyes and let the world go by. The chorus begins with “I'm lifting you up; I'm letting you down” Which is how my moods go up and down all the time.”I'm dancing till dawn” is how I’ve taken a liking to the night, and staying up late. “I'm fooling around” is the line that symbolizes all the good times with my friends where we’re wild, and we fool around. “I'm not giving up” shows how I’m going to keep my goals and ambitions and work for them. “I'm making your love” is about how crushes, and relationships with the opposite sex are beginning. “This city's made us crazy and we must get out” is how the world of socializing can sometimes drive me crazy and, I must get out!
This song may have been originally about a relationship, but it fits perfectly as a description of the many different aspects of my adolescence.

Yes, I read books
"Reading to the mind, is exercise to the body" (Joseph Addison)
What this quote is saying is that, like exercising makes the body healthy and strong, reading makes the mind healthy and strong. I chose this quote because i thought it was a very clever way of showing some of the benefits of reading. I love to read. When i read, i'm plunged into a whole new world of interesting people and fantastic places. I get to imagine a place where anything can happen. The author takes me through misery, pain, glee and mystery! When i read, it's as if the main characters problems are my problems, where their emotions are my emotions. I love to read because i get to see so many fascinating places, and meet so many interesting people... without moving an inch!

Musical Notes

Music. It's really an amazing thing if you think about it. There are notes, musical notes. Each note can make up about a second of a song. Now think about how there has to be a continual flow of notes for about three minutes, which is the average amount of time for a song. And the flow must be in a combination that is pleasant to the ears. And no note combination can be the same, because you can get sued for it. Now think of all the infinite combinations that can be made with all the hundreds of different notes and chords! There are millions and millions of songs in the world today. These are millions and millions of different note combinations. Then you can add singing to the "note combinations." Singing can be defined as different sentences that go together in a rhythm, and sung in a voice that is plesant to listen to. The singing has to last for the same amount of time as the "note combinations." Think about all the words in the world and how you can put them in rhythmic sentences. This makes the "note combinations" even more pleasant to listen to. Of course, you need to have the talent to sing well. Now think of all the countless things that you can do with singing, and these "note combinations." You can sell them in stores or online, you can make them, you can produce them, you can listen to them, you can have contests with them, you can make systems that play them, you can dance to them, you can play them with instruments, you can play them at parties and much more. The musical industry is a huge buissness that most people in the world are involved in. You're probably involved because you listen to these "note combinations," which are commonly known as songs The soul in the voice, the catchy "note combinations," The inspiring words and the harmony of music. These are some of the reasons i love music
